Thus, we provide a Sunday morning nursery ministry for those too young to sit through our entire worship service. Furthermore, we offer Sunday evening activities of song, prayer, and catechism for our elementary school children. Throughout the week, Grace Covenant runs a preschool for children in the community. We view all these ministries as methods for instilling the truth of God’s Word into our children from the earliest of ages.

At Grace Covenant Church, we recognize the importance of raising our covenant children in the “discipline and instruction of the Lord” (Eph 6:4).

Cory was born and raised in sunny southern California, but has been residing in Hickory since June of 2002. Since his transition, he has been actively involved with the youth in his community, including Christian Education, youth ministry, and coaching travel volleyball. He currently serves as an elder at the church, as well as assists the music ministry with sound and media on Sunday mornings. In 2020, Cory started his own custom woodworking business, helping both residential and commercial customers to make their design dreams a reality! When he isn’t covering himself in man glitter (sawdust), Cory can be found designing/building fun wood projects, enjoying the outdoors, spending time with family and friends or starting up new hobbies, like fly fishing! He loves the Bride of Christ (the Church) and desires for her to earnestly love her Bridegroom more and more.

SALT longs to follow after Jesus' calling on our lives to make a difference in the world around us. We usually meet twice a month, and usually have one service project and/or event per month.

We want to help youth grow first in their love for God, next in their love for His church, and then in their desire to see His redemptive love touches all creation. That is why we spend time in His Word, having fun, and doing service projects.

in Matthew 5:13, jesus states
"You are the SALT of the earth."

Grace Covenant Church offers gender-specific Bible studies for both men and women throughout the week. Currently, the women of the church have two options for Bible Study, one on Tuesday mornings and another on Wednesday evenings. The men of the church gather together early on Wednesday mornings. We encourage all men and women of the church to participate in these mid-week options to deepen their faith and relationships.

Small groups are an integral part of Grace Covenant Church life. These groups meet on Sunday evenings, either at the church or at a member’s house, and participants engage in fellowship, prayer, and study. Topics of study may include the Sunday sermon, a book of the Bible, or a book on Christian living or theology. We encourage all congregants to get involved with a small group.

In light of this passage, we encourage all members and regular attenders at Grace Covenant to make time to participate in a small group or a Bible study where you can get to know your fellow congregants.

The author of Hebrews 10:24-25 urges believers to “consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
